The Position
By holding this position, you will be responsible for getting the product to the store in the most efficient, timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for managing the execution, direction and coordination of all transportation matters within the organization. This includes managing budgets, organizing schedules and routes, ensuring that vehicles are safe and meet legal requirements as well as making sure that drivers are aware of their duties.
Your other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Planning routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries.
Allocating and recording resources and movements on the transport planning system.
Communicating effectively with stores and responding to their requirements.
Directing all transportation activities.
Developing transportation relationships.
Monitoring and managing transportation costs.
Negotiating and bargaining transportation prices.
Dealing with the effects of congestion.
Monitoring the work of outsourced company in transportation activities
Monitoring and preparing transport documentation
The Candidate
Preferably bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or transportation
Previous working experience in similar positions for at least 3 years preferably in logistics or transportation
Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel
Good knowledge of English
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Excellent organizational skills
Good analytical skills
Willingness to relocate for the training period – 3 months
